Seecrypt Group Incorporated is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

1.    This privacy policy (together with the relevant license agreement and any other related documents) sets out the basis on which we will process and retain the personal information you voluntarily provide to us. Please note that the content of this statement is applicable to your activity on seecrypt.com ("the site") and any other site under the control of Seecrypt Group, Inc. (“Seecrypt”) as well as the use of Seecrypt licensed product. We recommend that you read these documents carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal information.

 

The type of data we collect and process

 

2.    We may process and retain the following data:

2.1    Information that you voluntarily provide to us by completing forms on the site, including but not necessarily limited to site registration, subscription to our service, posted material, requests for further services or the reporting of a problem with the site or the licensed product.
2.2    Records of our correspondence with you.
2.3    Your responses to our research surveys (which you are not compelled to respond to).
2.4    Transactional information related to the placing and/or fulfillment of your orders, including but not limited to email addresses, telephone numbers and other details regarding the devices on which you install our software.
2.5    Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, IP addresses, browser type, Operating System, location data, web-logs, and the resources that you access.
2.6    Details of your use of the licensed product including, but not limited to, transaction logs and activity logs.

 

3.    We may gather information and data about our users' computers and mobile devices, including IP addresses, operating systems and browser types, for system administration and to obtain aggregate information. This information and data is gathered during the normal operation of the licensed product. This type of information helps us to improve our service and to deliver a better and more personalised service by:

3.1    Understanding our audience size and usage patterns.
3.2    Using known customer preferences to customize the service to individual and group interests.
3.3    Improving the quality of our service.
3.4    Recognizing customers on return to the site and understanding customers’ use of the licensed product. Should you object to the gathering of information described above, you may adjust your browser settings to refuse cookie files or you may delete the licensed product. Should you do so, you may not be able to access certain areas of the site or make use of certain features of the licensed product.

 

How we use the transactional data we collect

 

4.    We use information collected about customers in the following ways:

4.1    Ensuring that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner.
4.2    Ensuring that our customers’ user experience is optimised in the best possible way.
4.3    Providing information, products or services that are requested from us or which may interest our customers, where they have consented to being contacted for such purposes.
4.4    Carrying out our contractual obligations to our customers.
4.5    Allowing participation in interactive features of our site and/or service.
4.6    Notifying our customers of changes to our products and services.
4.7   Please take note that any personal information in the form of email addresses, status updates and profile pictures that you voluntarily disclose will become publicly available to other users of the licensed product.

 

When will we disclose your personal information?

 

5.    We may disclose your personal information to third parties in the following very limited circumstances:

5.1    In the event that we engage in discussions relating to the supply of products or services required for the provision of our service to our customers, for example: personal billing information and registered contact information will be disclosed in the event of the appointment of an authorised payment service provider, or in regard to the possible purchase or sale of a business or business assets, and such discussions require statistical information about licensed users.
5.2    If all or substantially all of our assets or the assets of any member of our group are acquired by a third party, in which case personal information held by us about our customers will be one of the transferred assets.
5.3    If we are obligated to disclose or share your personal information in order to comply with any legal obligation (including any obligation to disclose personal information to a regulatory body or law enforcement agency, in circumstances where a legitimate Court Order has been obtained from a Court of competent jurisdiction (keeping in mind that we are technically unable to disclose in decrypted form any conversation or message communicated using Seecrypt applications)), or in order to enforce or apply the terms of the relevant license agreement and/or other agreements.
5.4    If disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of, inter alia, our business, our employees, or our customers, and may include disclosure for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction, as well as the prevention of hostile acts.

 

Storing Messages and Attachments

 

6.    With our Store and Forward function encrypted messages are sent via our secure servers. If you send a message to another Seecrypt Mobile Application user and that user is offline, that message will be stored in encrypted form on one of our secure servers for a maximum period of seven (7) days. All messages that are not retrieved within seven (7) days of being sent will be purged without any prior notice.
 
7.    With our Store and Forward function encrypted attachments are sent via our secure servers. If you send an attachment to another Seecrypt Mobile Application user and that user is offline, that attachment will be stored in encrypted form on one of our secure servers for a maximum period of thirty (30) days. All attachments that are more than thirty (30) days old will be purged without any prior notice.

 

Marketing

 

8.    If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you by electronic means (email or SC3 Message) with information about goods and services similar to those, which were the subject of a previous sale to you. We will not use your personal information for marketing purposes without first obtaining your expressive permission to do so.

 

Third Party Websites

 

9.    Our site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you choose to follow any such links, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies, which we recommend should be read carefully. We will not be held responsible or liable in any manner whatsoever for the consequences of your decision to access or submit your personal information to other websites.

 

Commitment to Data Security

 

10.    The protection of our customers’ personal information is of utmost importance to us and we will never sell or distribute our customers’ personal information save for in those circumstances specifically provided for in this privacy policy.
 
11.    The personal information that we receive from you will be stored on our secure servers, at a location of our discretion, and will only be accessed by authorised personnel involved in fulfilling your order, processing your payment details or the provision of support services. We take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal information is secure and treated in accordance with this privacy policy.
 
12.    Payment transactions on the site are encrypted. Your password (whether assigned by us or selected by you) enables you to access certain areas of the site, and you are cautioned to keep this password confidential. You are wholly responsible for the security of your password as well as the security of your device.
 
13.    Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is never completely secure. Whilst we take the utmost care to protect personal information, the security of data during transmission to our site cannot be guaranteed. Transmission of your information is accordingly at your own risk, but upon our receipt thereof we apply strict security features and procedures to guard against unauthorised access.

 

Contacting us

 

14.    Any changes we may be required to make to our privacy policy will be posted on this page. Seecrypt reserves the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. It is your responsibility to review this policy for any changes. If you do not agree to the amended policy, your only recourse is to discontinue your use of the licensed product and delete the Application. Your continued use of the licensed product constitutes your agreement to this privacy policy and any amendments made to it.
